CST products perform very well on bikes from every segment. We offer more than 100 tread patterns in many sizes, retractable or wire beads, technologies to improve tire strength and puncture resistance.

Defender SAFE

A layer of rubber is added between the tread section and the casing layer to increase protection against punctures . It also serves as a wear indicator.

Defender MIX

AI: A layer of rubber is added between the tread section and the casing layer. The puncture-resistant layer contains "recessed short fibers" to provide good resistance against damage. FI: A layer of rubber is added between the tread part and the casing, and the anti-puncture rubber is mixed with rubber and high-strength chemical fibers.

Defender COBWEB

The lightweight and cut-resistant mesh fabric makes the tires provide good puncture resistance without adding excessive weight.

Defender ALLROUND

Same as COBWEB, with additional "Bead To Bead" protection.

Defender REBOUND 3

High elasticity rubber, 3 mm thick. In case of puncture by a foreign body is deflected to avoid further puncture.

Defender REBOUND 5

Highly flexible rubber, 5 mm thick. When punctured by a foreign object, it is deflected to avoid further puncture.

Defender ULTIMATE

A double-bonded protective layer that combines the advantages of REBOUND and COBWEB, greatly improving the tire's resistance to punctures.

Mountain Bike DH Structure

TPI

Braid density is measured in TPI (Thread Per Inch), or the number of nylon threads per square inch. The higher the TPI number, the greater the tire's resistance to high pressure and puncturing by sharp objects. Higher TPI gives the tire a better fitment to the ground, offers a smoother and quieter ride, and most importantly, makes it lighter. In effect, a higher TPI makes the tire "faster."

Single

One rubber compound used for the entire tire. Optimized for long life and very good tire performance.

Double

Two types of rubber compound used in one tread (harder in the middle, softer on the side of the tread). Improves the tire's grip.

Trible (3C)

three types of rubber used in one tread, are selected to reduce rolling resistance, reduce tread wear and improve traction.

Single-Ply Casing

A single layer of nylon that binds the tire together. It stretches from bead to bead. The single ply adapts well to the terrain and offers good weight.

Wire Bead

A wire was used to make the bead, which holds the tire in the rim after it is inflated. The wire used in the bead will not expand, but it is also heavier.

Foldable Bead

The use of Aramid bead contributes to reducing the weight of the tire without sacrificing strength. Thanks to these materials, the tire can also be "folded" to a small size.

CLXX 170 TPI

A technology that uses braided nylon with as much as 170 TPI. This achieves an extremely low weight of the tire without reducing its strength. Rolling resistance is very low, and the tire's grip on difficult terrain is very good.

SAFE + COBWEB

A double anti-puncture system. An addition to the SAFE system, is the densely woven COBWEB layer. This ultra-modern protection system reduces the risk of punctures to a minimum.

Tubeless Ready Technology

A tire with this system allows you to ride without a classic inner tube by using a specially adapted "milk" with sealing properties. The task of the milk is to seal the cavities formed in the tire during driving. It allows to reduce the weight of the entire set of wheels by up to several tens of grams. As a result, we can ride at lower pressure, which will dramatically increase our grip on the ground.
