Thanks to the acquaintance of Dariusz Batek and Błażej Janiaczyk, at the beginning of 2017 we signed a cooperation agreement with Michał Kwiatkowski’s Copernicus Academy. Darek and Błażej, who raced together for years, decided to continue their cooperation in a slightly different form. This gave rise to the joint CST and Copernicus project.
The Michał Kwiatkowski Copernicus Academy was created based on the Copernicus Student Sports Club, which was established in September 2013 as an initiative of the Toruń cycling community. One of the originators of the Club, as well as its main founder is Michał Kwiatkowski – one of the best Polish cyclists, World and Polish Champion. Within the UKS Copernicus structures, an original project of Michał and his former coaches is being developed – the Michał Kwiatkowski Cycling Academy. The mission of UKS Copernicus is to develop and promote all forms of cycling among children and teenagers, as well as to train them in accordance with the latest European and world standards.
Since the 2019 season, the Copernicus Cycling Academy has started cooperation with the strongest Polish road racing team, CCC Development Team!
As CST Poland, we are proud to participate in this great project. Members of the Academy benefit from our whole range of tires, which makes us very happy. The young Copernicus Academy cyclists racing with CST tires are very successful. They are Polish Champions, winners of road and track races in their categories. Some of them may prove to be Michał Kwiatkowski’s successors.
